My paranormal journey began in early childhood and the reason I am actually scared of the dark! My family home where I lived from a baby, was built in the 1800’s and is still lived in by my parents today. The whole house had paranormal activity and most visitors would note the strange atmosphere. My own bedroom terrified me. I used to hear noises, footsteps and breathing, and could sense a man in there who gave me a feeling of dread. The room was pitch dark and I couldn’t see the hand in front of my face, I slept with my back firmly to the wall with the covers over my head! When I had children of my own, I never told them about the hauntings in the house, but, when they stayed over they were also terrified of my old my bedroom, sensed it was off and wouldn’t sleep in there. My youngest daughter as a small child saw a man standing in there too which also petrified her! The first home I purchased was also rife with activity, just my luck! Things used to be moved, thrown around, TV’s switched on and off by themselves, disembodied footsteps, doors slamming, and children’s toys switching on when no one was around. And oh so cold at any time of the year! My eldest daughter as a small child used to talk to a little boy in the house called Peter, her “imaginary friend”, she said he lived in her bedroom which was in-fact the most active. She would feel her bed move, the TV would come on by itself and toys used to scoot across the floor by themselves in there. The feeling of being watched was overwhelming! My youngest daughter also experienced similar goings on. My girls are now grown up and also have a love for the paranormal due to their own experiences. Due to these encounters, I’ve been very passionate about all things paranormal since a young age trying to find an explanation. I had my first set of Tarot cards at age fourteen, learned about astrology and discovered Qabalah when I was in my twenties. I started to go on ghost walks which then piqued my interest in ghost hunts. I started attending them as a guest and then I worked for 4 years as staff on paranormal events in various locations all over the country. During lockdown I spent most weeks at the haunted Derby Gaol with Richard Felix helping to maintain the Gaol and gardens also doing live streams of investigations. I met Kevin on an event and he became my partner in crime when we worked together and we got married in 2021. Kevin is a psychic medium which comes with a plethora of spooky goings on at home. The first time he visited my parents house he confirmed which of the 4 bedrooms was the ‘problem’ one with a negative man in my childhood bedroom (I’d never told him) and I honestly don’t know if it makes me feel better or worse knowing I was right! When we are plunged into darkness on investigations, it takes me back to my childhood and I have to face my lifelong fear of the dark each time!
